Preventative Maintenance will vary greatly depending on what type and how many samples you run each day.

We run 50-75 injections each day and over night so we pretty much change the lnserts daily. When I ran 8270 GC/MS we changed them daily along with clipping about 4 inches of column daily. Septa are usually good for 100-300 injections depending on temperature of the injection port.

If you have a log book from the last year where you preformed maintenance as needed, look through that and get the average time between maintenance and take about 70% of that and make it your schedule. That should cover most problems you would normally encounter before they happen.
The past is there to guide us into the future, not to dwell in.
