Hi, I have been using the Waters Alliance 2795 for almost three years now. I was running about 12 samples today, the instrument stopped in on third run, and gave this error message of "Needle Malfunction (Bottom Senor)", I opened the door to the sample plates, I did not observe any jam or mistakes. BTW, we bought this used HPLC unit about 5 years ago, I am not sure if it is still within the warranty. Does anybody now what shall I do with this? Thanks a lot!
This is out of the 2795 users guide, at least its a place to start.

Needle failed to detect the Bottom sensor on
reaching the WELL or LOAD position. Check
connections to XYZ mechanism. Remove and
reinstall needle. If error persists, contact Waters
Technical Service.

Thank you very much! I will start checking on that!
Some times, turning the system off and on can help.
