I have an over pressure issue. If I start out at 1ml/min running DI water it takes about 7 minutes of over pressure. Previously the set up was running 1 ml/min pressure was 165 bar continuous no changes.
Bypassing everything still happens. I even traded pumps both must have the same problem.
Thats a little bit to few informations.

System is a 1050 Agilent HPLC?

You bypass the column and the pressure is still that high?

Then it seems like you have a clogged capillary or the pressure sensor is not working correct.
Try exchanging the PTFE frit in the purge valve:

If you don't have a replacement frit in your lab, try to run the pump without the frit (but not for analytical runs!) and see if your overpressure disappears.

Jörg
