Anyone know of a reason I shouldn't use Inland 45 in the pump instead?
Thanks!

Interesting. I know they recommend using the oil they shipped with the pump but did you get a specific recommendation from them NOT to use Inland 45?Agilent don't recommand to use Inland 45 with DS102 mechanical pump....why?..i don't know but for the warranty, i use DS19 oil.
I have been running our Varian HS 502 on my LCMS for 6 years now on Inland 45, haven't had any problems...yet.I have write to Agilent in 2011 for use Inland 45 with my new DS102 because with my old Edward pump, Agilent recommended Inland 45.
The manufacturer send me this response:
It’s not recommended to flush all the oil away , then use another oil, too dangerous for the pump. While what they say may be true in the case of other pumps, for our pumps do not use the synthetic or you will risk damaging your Varian (Agilent) pump.
