I'm trying to run a GC/FID 6850 and the GC will not go into ready mode; the message reads Detector utility gas flow not ready, what are the causes for this not going into the ready mode?

Make sure you have plenty of pressure from your hydrogen and air tanks. I'd turn the supply pressure up on your tanks, try to light the flame again and see if it stays. I don't know the exact number but I think the supply pressures should be about 80 psig.
