If it's not one thing it's another.

Chemstation crashed during a sequence and won't start. I keep getting a message that says "the exception Floating-point invalid operation".

Has anyone ever seen this?

I haven't seen that message in the context of a restart but if the symptom is that Chemstation won't reload and rebooting the computer doesn't fix the problem, it may be that the method has been corrupted. Rename the method that you were running at the time of failure and try restarting. If that was it Chemstation will reload with the default method. You will then have to rebuild your method, and yes, I have done this. If this doesn't work you may have a corrupt Chemstation file, .ini or something else. Worst case is having to reload Chemstation.

Good luck
It wasn't the file that was corrupt but your suggestion caused me to look for other sources of corruption and I realized what I did. It helped out a ton.

The problem was that I changed the default printer during my run. Our printer is broken and switched to a different one on the network. That caused the problem. I switched back to the broken printer for now and everything is fine. Thanks.
