Black screen instead of GC traces on Chemstation

I'm having an odd problem on MSD chemstation v E02.01.1177.
When I open a file instead of seeing an image of the GC traces, I just see a black screen (see https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B47o7Tw ... sp=sharing)
The data is still all there and accessible, as when I export the file to excel it reports peak areas and residence times as expected, but it is frustrating not to be able to quickly check what products are produced.
I suspect that the problem may have something to do with user account permissions, there are two administrator accounts on the computer, one shows the traces with no problem, but the other shows the black screen.
Has anybody encountered a similar problem and knows how to fix it?
