Chemstation Reporting question?

Hi,

I'm sure what I want to do is easy.

I want to have a summary report of my completed sequence which contains:

1. The vial number / injection and
2. The peak area of the peak.

I'd like a list of these all on one page which automatically prints out at the end of the run.

My chromatograms have only 2 peaks so I would need the areas for both. I'm not worried about any other figures.

I just need one sheet of paper printed out at the end of the sequence with a list of peak areas on it.

I'm using an Agilent 1260 with the latest version of Chemstation on it.

I have spent hours trying to stop it spewing out thousands of sheets for every injection.

Can anybody help me?

Thanks.

talk you trough every thing would take way to long
however I can tell you some aspects how I managed to do this

First you have to generate your own report layout
Image
This is just an example how the one I used looks like, to set this up you should take a look at the manual

Then you have to specify the report used by the method
my reporting file is called "data-export3" and I unselected everything I did not want to have in the report

Then you have to set up the sequence output. You have to check "print sequence summary report"
you can send it to the printer or to a text file (used it to automate some data analysis later on in excel) or PDF and so on

Then you have to set up the sequence summery parameters.
Just click on the setup button in the sequence output window.
We just want the "analysis report" to be printed

With this you should get one file (if you save as file) or one printout of the whole sequence
were for each vial (sample) the analysis report (which looks like the report layout we defined) is printed.

You can always initiate a sequence rerun and reporting in the "data analysis"

However the report format has to be defined in the method.

Hope this helps to get you started

Hi ,

Just checking if you have Chemstore as part of Chemstation package.

Chemstore reprots are alot more user friendly than described by Mr Brown (my opinion so I maybe wrong) and peak summary tables can easily be displayed.
If you dont have Chemstore with latest version of Chemstation , remember CFR 21 compliance !
Thanks very much for taking the time to reply to me. It's much appreciated.

I spent a few hours trying to get it how I want it with zero success.

I'll just open excel in another window and punch all the numbers in!

Regards,

Ritfor
