I am testing Chromeleon 7 against Empower 3 functionality and I can't seem to locate some of the parameters that I'm used to being able to set manually in Empower.

I can't seem to locate the equivalent of Empower's "set liftoff" and "set touchdown" in Chromeleon.

Is that parameter manually adjustable in Chromeleon 7? If so, what is it called?
Hi Hippy,

These parameters sound like they set the start and end point for the integration of a particular peak.

If the peak in question is already integrated by the default settings then you can tidy the start and end times by using the 'Baseline Point' function. If the peak is not integrated, try using the Peak Group Start and End function. However, as these are absolutely time dependent, any shift in your chromatography through multiple injections will change the resultant integration. I would recommend that these types of parameters are used as a last resort or to tidy chromatograms up.

By using both the Cobra Wizard and Smart Peaks, your chromatograms should be integrated to a good stardard. Any additional lines can then be added into the detection parameters of the processing method. In this case you might want to look at things such as Peak Smoothing, Tailing and Fronting Senstivity.

Hope this helps
