post column reaction using mixing tee

Hi, I hope somebody can give me a suggestion on how to connect mixing tee for post column reaction.. The tee has three ports and looks like letter "T" Is it preferable to connect mobile phase inlet and the post column reagent in opposite inlets and have the outlet in the middle?? Would that achieve better mixing than having mobile phase in and out (with reagent) in one line? I hope this makes sense.. The reaction time is fast so coil is not needed, others using "T" for similar application..

Any suggestions??

It probably doesn't matter, but I would put the inlets in the arms of the tee and outlet through the base (middle), simply because it looks neater.

I would anyway check accurately for completeness of the reaction. Even it is fast, it may not proceed to completion because of insufficient mixing in the tee. You might need then a low volume mixer, or a short coil.
Most post column setups I have used do have the reagents and column flow enter from the opposite ends then exit from the side. I always assumed it was best for mixing, but maybe it was just how they designed the units.
The past is there to guide us into the future, not to dwell in.
