pesticides/herbicides in essential oils

Discussions about GC-MS, LC-MS, LC-FTIR, and other "coupled" analytical techniques.

My brief is to collect as much information as possible on determining pesticides/herbicides in essential oils and leaves/bark/seeds.
I have access to GC-FID,GC-MS & HPLC-UV (not DAD).
I have seen much information on vegetables/fruit extracts but not on essential oils.
In many ways essential oils are "dirtier" samples than extracts of the fruit.
Where can I start? Any help is gratefully received.
Consumer Products Guy - do you do similar analyses?
