Hi guys, I have a 5973MSD and it does not show any signal, not even a baseline. I tuned it and it works fine when I tune it. Everything else is fine with the system. I do not get any error messages. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance
The baseline cut off is over 9000!

I had that but the MS wasn't getting a start signal so it wasn't collecting data. The service guy had left it unplugged.
If the MS is telling you that it is acquiring data but you don't see anything, check that your tune file in the method is the same one you were adjusting, ie that you are using the same filament.

Well, I just checked it and there is nothing wrong with the connections. The MS runs the tune correctly which should mean that there isn't anything wrong with the MS itself. When i run the sampling program, it does not switch on which is indicated by the lack of baseline signal. Also, i checked the sampling program and i have set all the parameters correctly. It was working fine a week ago. So its strange that its malfunctioning now when nothing has been changedI had that but the MS wasn't getting a start signal so it wasn't collecting data. The service guy had left it unplugged.

In the MS Scan acquisition settings, check the value for Threshold (an acquisition rejection filter). Try a low value, even 0. If it is set too high, it can reject entire spectra, leading to no baseline.
