My laboratory is planning to purchase an ABSciex 5500 QTrap and a UPLC. We do not have experience using Waters LC. But we hear that it is the best UPLC in the market. However, we also hear that there is some software incompatibility between Waters UPLC and ABSciex causing frequent incoordination between LC and MS acquisition.

Please share your user experiences.
Thanks.
Waters UPLC can be a very tempermental instrument at times
Hi,

Seamoro, you seem to be full of descriptive information on the Acquity. Thanks for the useful comment. From my dealings with the UPLC once the user knows how to look after it then it should function as intended. Maybe some other users who use it on a daily basis can update you further.
Hello,

some colleagues of mine have a Waters UPLC connected to a QTRAP 4000 (both controlled by Analyst) and they seem pretty happy with their system. I think it's a powerful combination as a UHPLC-MS/MS instrument.
Thanks all of you folks for your invaluable comments.
