Hello everyone,

I am new in this field and I don't know how fortification is used. I know it is useful when doing recovery studies in quantitaion analyses. I would apreciate if someone of you can help me.

Thanks in advanced.

For fortification or spiked samples, have placebo product made for you. Then add (weigh, or more typically by pipet) the active or sought-for substance at desired active levels, typically 80, 100, and 120% of target, do at least three times at each spiked level, and assay. That's "Accuracy".

Assay real-life product at least five times, that's "Precision". Second operator's repeat of the precision study is "Intermediate Precision".
