Convert .lcd files to ASCII or CSV

Dear Colleagues,
Have some chromatograms acquided on a Shimadzu LC Solution software (.lcd files) and want to convert them in a more common format for use in Matlab or OriginLab. Will appreciate being informed if such utility is available.

Could you please send an example of .lcd file to unichrom at unichrom dot com
As far I know - Class VP is EZ-Chrom clone, so it's data probably readable by our UniChrom.

Thanks for your response. However, I was wrong and this chromatograph runs LC Solution software. Could you please inform me is the EZ-Chrom wil open the files?

Not sure if they (Shimadzu) maintain cross-package compatibility.
XX-Solutions is completely different package from Class-YY.
But I'm sure that (GC|MS)-Solution use same format container. And it is readable and parseable.
If it is not top secret - please send me the file.

well, i have the same problem with .lcd files from LCMSolution v3.60. do you want me to send you one .lcd file to check?

In LCMSsolution all you have to do is look in the batch settings, "File Conversion" tab, and select the format you want, which includes LC output as AIA (netCDF), MS output as AIA, as well as MS as mzXML or mzData. You can do this before you run the batch, in which case it will be converted at the same time as running, and you'll get the data both in Shimadzu's format and preconverted, or you can do it as a post-run process.
You can also select a bunch of data files in Shimadzu's File Browser window in Postrun, right-click, and select "File Conversion".
I'm not sure if these options are also in LCsolution as well as LCMSsolution.
mzXML or netCDF are about as good as it's likely to get for easily-opened formats.
