The problem is, they only stock a standard that is certified for total pyrethrin concentration without any information on the actual ratio which varies from extract to extract. As far as I'm concerned we can't actually quantify pyrethrins until we have some traceable link to actual concentrations of all six. The instrument signal on LC-MS/MS is not reliably proportional to concentration across different compounds as we all know well.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a source of either a) not-too-expensive standards of all six, or b) an analytical standard for pyrethrum that would actually come with all six concentrations on the Certificate of Analysis?
This would hopefully be something that is not too difficult for us to order from Canada. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!
