Hi all,
at the moment I am writing my doctors thesis in analytical chemistry. Therefore I need to work with graphite tubes. Unfortunately all of our remaining tubes depleted. So I called perkin elmer how expensive it would be to get 20 graphite tubes. I didn´t believe it as the guy said that it will be around 1600 € !!!! Can´t remember that it was that expensive, Above all I thougt their patent for graphit tubes expired? Are there any cheaper alternatives? Won´t pay so much money for it
What kind of graphite tubes do you need? For example pyro coated ones are very expensive :( . i don´t know about that expired patent but if i remember right perkin elmer is not the only producer of graphite tubes. for example "Altmann" (don´t know whether they really produce or just resell graphite tubes. perhaps you should just call them to get an advice http://www.analytics-shop.com/gb/catalo ... phite+tube.
Otherwise good luck :D
