Summarize custom fileds

Hi All

Having an issue with a releatively straight forward custom calculation. I want the custom calculation to calculate the mean area of standards. The custom calculation i have is S0%...AVE(Area) with the sample type as standards only. I have the summarize custom field at the end of my sample series.

In my component editor i do not have any standard weights. Does this make any difference?

Any suggestions?

Nope, this will not make a difference to your custom field result. The areas will be calculated and so will your summary custom field. Just that calibration will not occur as you have no values to calibrate...

Problems with the custom field:
1) are the peaks being integrated and identified in your standards following integration and calibration? i.e. For the peaks of interest in the standards, both name and area have been populated in the peaks table.
2) double check the sample labels in your sample set correspond to the S0% label...

Thanks BenW for your help i got it too work.

It seems that if i batch process my samples and standards the custom calculation results will be calculated. Previously when i was processing the sanmples and standards individually it did generate a result for the custom calculation. Does this sound correct i.e. that you must batch process rather than processing individually?
