I used Program : GCSOLUTION SHIDMADZU for data integration. My problem is the magnifying factor or 'zooming factor' of chromatogram which is I found really difficult to understand. Since I used the '+' and '-' button of the program, (refer to picture 1), how is the real magnifying factor of my chromatograph since I found the information from GC reference (pg.95) saying that "When the [+] button is clicked on, the chromatogram height will be enlarged two times larger(the intensity axis scale will become half in length). When the [-] button is clicked on, the chromatogram height will be reduced to half (the intensity axis scale will become two times
longer)."
Q1: DO I NEED TO CONSIDER THIS INFORMATION IN ORDER TO DETERMINE THE 'ZOOMING' FACTOR OF MY CHROMATOGRAPH?
if i am going to paste picture 1 in my paper for publication, is that right to write "the chromatograph is ATTENUATED BY 2000 times".[magnifying power x 2 (by using the zooming factor "x1000" from the chromatograph and the times by 2 since the height will be enlarged two times]
is this correct???
Q2: By looking at the result peak table (refer picture 3), refer row 2, the retention time is 10.329 and the height is 853. what is the unit of this height???? is that micro-Volt (uV). thus, is it the SAME to say the height of the peak at retention time 10.329 min is (8.53 x 10^-4) Volt ???? since 1micro = 1 x 10^-6
your help is highly appreciated.
thanx.
regards,
bobey
