Dear friends,

I have received a bunch of discarded Supelco LC-318 columns (C18?). Unfortunately with no column data sheets or any other information. I could not find info online. Could someone please tell me what kind of column technology is this?, is it RP?, is the technology still available?, is there a prefered test mixture for their column evaluation?

Thanks,

josebenjamin

Hello,

it is a 300A silica based C18 phase for the analysis of large molecules (e.g. proteins).

I hope this helps a little bit.

Dirk
Supelcosil LC-318 is a silica based C18 phase, 300A, 5um. It is thus a RP. It is in the latest catalog (2005 - 2006), page 73. The column can be tested with Supelco RP test mix, page 59 of the catalog.
