Is there radioactive part in LCMS (triple quadrupole)?

Discussions about GC-MS, LC-MS, LC-FTIR, and other "coupled" analytical techniques.

Is there any part in LCMS contains radioactive materials and require special protection?

Thank you.
A tripple quad separations ion based on radio frequency and electric charge. Detection is typically with an electron multiplier. And in LC the ionization is typically the result of electric charge. Nothing radioactive there.

Now if someone has run radioactive materials through the system, consider it contaminated - and protection depends on what isotopes were involved.

Is your LC/MS modified in some way or is there some special feature that raises this concern?
