does the equilibration time with respect to type of stationary phase ligand ??
eg..does C18 get equlibrated at the same time as C8 or C4 ??

They do have problems, and that's why there are very few of them. The ones that do exist were largely developed decades ago as a workaround for silanol-related tailing.on a different note, are there many polymeric columns out there ? , mainly i have come across monomeric columns
i kind of thought that polymeric columns suffer from reproducibility issues
