Chemstation: Multiple Instruments?

I was told you could run mupltiple 1100 HPLCs in Chemstation. We have two set up, added the second to the configuration editor, but I can't figure out how to bring it up in Chemstation.

Any ideas? Do I have to have a separate license, or can Chemstation run several natively?

Thanks!
Theoretically you can run 2 DAD HPLC's on 1 ChemStation and 4 non-DAD HPLC's. But you need a license to run the second instrument. Did you acquire one with the second instrument?

We got the unit, and the software, used, so I'm not sure how to verify.

Under the Configuration Manager, I can add multiple instruments with no issues. But I can't figure out how to open a second session for Chemstation for that second instrument. That's where I'm really stuck. I guess I figured I would just get a second icon for Instrument 2 once I added that in the Configuration Manager, but I am only seeing Instrument 1, just as before.
So, if we are running B.02.01, and Agilent doesnt' sell additional licenses, any ideas on how to get another tack on license? Assuming that's the issue. Since I can add more instruments in the Config, I guess I figured it was going to work.
Ok, I found the second license and added it in. But no second instrument is showing up. After placing the second instrument in the configuration editor, how do I add a second instrument in Chemstation?
Ok, so apparently you have to re-run the installation to add a second instrument. That is where you add in the new license. Currently running the install now.

I had no idea it would be this obvious. I couldn't find anything in the user documentation, and since we always get our instruments used, it's always an adventure...
Have fun! And if you have a few dimes to spare, look into upgrading to OpenLAB CDS ChemStation, which will give you much more functionality and first class instrument control.

We're into our 4th week of Open Lab ChemStation. I'm sure we'll "get it" soon, but so far has caused some confusion.

Varossf - since you apparently work for Agilent - we know there's a Sequence Method and a Master Method, OK. But why do some of the drop down boxes simply state Save method? Why can't they be more specific about which method is the one being saved? That would've saved us all a lot of confusion. We kept saving data analysis changes using "Edit Entire Method" not reallizing that was for master method only, that we had to make data analysis changes while in data analysis and then save as the Sequence Method. And we finally figured out that any changes to the method (Sequence Method) after running samples required green arrow in Data Analysis to reprocess under those saved conditions.
