Hi,

Trying to set up a new method on an Agilent 7890A GC/TCD. Not familiar with the system. The ChemStation software says the method is unresolved and NOT READY. Tried to program the method from the GC keypad, but not clear what exactly to do on the software, not providing any direction.

Any general advice when an error message on ChemStation says "unresolved method"?

Thanks for your time,
RHN

Let ChemStation resolve the method for you.
You seriously need familiaryzation with your system and software. Ask sombody from your lab.

Is your instrument configured properly ?
For the beginning start with modifying working method, not with developing new method from the scratch. And avoid elevated temperatures without carrier flow.

good luck
