empower ,,help !

Hi All,

Anybody out there have any useful guides or hints for getting the most out of empower 2?
I new to the CDS but I have used Milleniunm 32,chemstation/store and Chromeleon 6-6.8 in the past,, and I am just finding Empower 2 maybe not as flexible or user friendly as I have thought !

If you have any personal notes or training materials left over from your Millenium 32 experience, dig them out. Empower 2 is not all that different.

If anyone else in your area has had Waters provided training, they should have been provided with manuals that should be helpful too.

I agree Empower and Millenium are very similar. If you know Millenium you know most of Empower...

It is very flexible, even if some find it confusing because of it's relational database based design... BUT if your copy of Empower is configured to be locked down, it can make it seem inflexible.

From what I can gather Empower is configured to be locked down (with LIMS system taking control) which limits functionality of Empower 2 (custom fields,calculations,report style etc)
Just wondering if anybody else has used such a set up and what was best practice ,with miminising extrernal software to calculate results
I last used Millenium in 1997-98 ,so no documents or guides kept to help with Empower !
