Seing that methods 525 and 508 extractions read almost the same with the exception of internal standards and surrogates, has anyone run the extracts on both platforms?
My boss dosn't like some of my low level responses from the MS.
Hi bigbear,

Here are the couple things come to my mind;

In terms of sensitivity, ECD would give you better response than MS unless you are using SIM/SIS scan mode on MS.

You might need confirmation column with positive result in 508 just like most of other GC analysis.

Chromatography could be little challenging since you have separate all the compounds on two different column using one temperature program if you have dual ECD setup.

Solvent exchanging step in 508 could be quite time consuming.
