I'm currently using an AKTA machine running Unicorn 5.11. One of my colleagues recently noticed through the maintenance module of the software that the detector lamp had been on virtually full-time since the unit was initially installed several years ago. She thought that she recalled in another AKTA/Unicorn configuration that there was a way for the software to automatically turn the lamp off following a run. I can find no such instruction in the software manual or on-line help. Any advice would be appreciated
you could find the akta supporting! or update the software.

Thanks for the ideas. I've found a way to turn the lamp off manually using the front panel control/menu, but if that gets tedious I'll probably investigate a software upgrade.
or buy a professional system - not least CDS
