Methylation agent selection (TMAH)

I'm not too much familiar with TMAH (tetramethylammonium hydroxide) as a methylation agent. Is it safe to inject into GC column or extraction is recommended?

It is always better NOT to inject any ion upon a capillary column.
If you can remove TMAH before injection, I recommend you to do so.
