Hi all,

we're looking for approximately 5cm SAX and WAX columns which have 1000A pore diameters, we've tried Agilent and they no longer do the WAX one as we'd like both from the same manufacturer. We've been hunting around on google to no avail, does anyone know where we can get a hold of these?!

(On a side note if anyone knows if there is a "library" type facility which gives users the column packing material chemistry for the columns they use I'd be very grateful. "Silica with a bonded group" seems to be the limit (most, not all!) websites are giving us and its proving to be very difficult/time consuming to find out and we could really do with this information for our development work!)

Much appreciated

Hi Kristoff,

We spotted those too but sadly we've had them knocked back on grounds of the ones we had looked at being £300/400 and those being about 4 times the cost! Would love to get my hands on them but we're on a limited budget :( The joys of method development for a small company...

Many thanks for the suggestion, it is much appreciated!

Hi Lynz, my company offer 30 and 60um 800A-1000A resin and also 5cm ID prep size column. http://www.sepax-tech.com/Resin_IEX.php I can send you the full flyer over if needed. My email address: twu@sepax-tech.com
Our company (PolyLC Inc.) makes weak anion-exchange (WAX) silica-based material with the following combinations:

3-µm: 1000- and 1500-Å pores
5-µm: 1000-Å pores
12-µm: 1500-Å pores
20-µm: 1500-Å pores

These are available either in bulk or packed columns; tradename: PolyWAX LP. We have smaller pore diameters as well but that does not seem to be relevant to your concerns. These materials work quite well for intact proteins and large nucleic acids (oligonucleotides and double-stranded PCR products).
