Internal Standard - Suggestions Appreciated

I'm looking for a simple, stable molecule to use as an internal standard (to compensate for solvent loss during sample preparation).

The chromatography will be approximately:

Mobile Phase: 50/50 v/v MeCN / water (possibly buffered)
Column: Waters BEH C18 (1.7um)
Detection: 250nm

Any pointers to a group of candidate compounds would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Mark
Years back, I remember seeing alkyl phenones suggested as internal standards. You stary with a mixture and then pick a chain length that gives reasonable retention.

I seem to remember the same and have, (many years ago), used Benzophenone or similar as an internal standard.

Many thanks for the suggestion, it's a great place to start

Regards

Mark
