Valco doubts

I am working in API-2000 and waters Quttro micro LCMSMS we are injecting samples through Valco using this the solvent is goes to waste at the start and end of the run but it is found that desolvation gas is on in times when the solvent is going outside.Is there any way to stop the desolvation gas in th instrument method and is there any problem to stop desolvation gas during Running
