Hello, I hope someone could help me with this topic.
I have create a group report method for several results. From the report itself I obtain average retention time and average area (not from custom fields).
The thing is that I want to create a custom field that is = AVE(area)/AVE(ret time), I have tried in different ways but it gives me no result.
Thank you very much in advanced,
Carolina.
Hi Carolina,
From what you say, you are after an intersample summary custom field for your peaks.

So here is an example, please update if it works as you wish:

Create a new custom field, specify peak type; select search order (e.g. result set only) and what peak types or sample types you wish to include.

Then create the intersample summary custom field:

x.y.z.AVE(Area)/x.y.z.AVE(Retention Time)

where x refers to the sample Label as inputed in the sample set (you can use wild cards such as % for all labels)
y refers to injection (you can use wild cards here too)
z refers to the channel label.
There is good info in Empower help for how to use the "x.y.z" intersample labels.

Save the custom field with a suitable name.

Your sample set will need a summarize custom fields line at the end (you can add this via Alter Sample).

The custom field should now be populated with results! This field can be found in the peaks table under the chromatogram in review.

Validate the results to ensure your have set the correct search order and labels...

Cheers,Ben

I really appreciate all help. I am happy to send my excel sheet if someone could explain me. I can put all formulas myself. Thanks
