Hello everyone
I had extracted phospholipids from blood and performed ESI-MS.
I am more interested in 2 phospholipids (PC and PE). From the spectra I noticed that very low mol.wt and very high mol.wt PC and PEs were not detected.
The observed peaks were from C16:0 to C18:2. I did not notice any peaks at lower mol. wt like C6, C8 etc, similarly higher mol. wt peaks were not observed (like C20:4, C22:6 etc).
The ESI-MS was performed in negative mode.

Can anyone tell me what might have happened.
