Does anyone use this system. I wanted to try it on my GC/FID system. The only problem I would have is it doesnt quantitate Arginine if you dont have a MS detector. Any ideas would be helpfull.

Hi intc97. I work for Phenomenex, so I can do my best to help out. I asked the product specialist and he let me know that:
"Unfortunately, Arginine is still not amenable to GC even after it has been derivatized by the EZ:Faast Kit. However, it is possible to process some of the metabolites of Arginine and maybe this would be an indirect way to account for the concentration.
The only way to analyze Arginine directly would be by using LC."
I hope that was at least somewhat useful. Do let me know if you have any other questions.
