Total Hydrocarbon's on a rum-containing beverage are coming up higher than expected. I've been asked if the polysiloxane based defoamer is possibly contributing.
Anyone seen anything like this?
Thanks!

I have certainly seen forests of huge peaks from siloxane antifoamants. I resorted to aluminium sulphate instead.

Perfect. Thank you!
This likely explains why they called up in arms that the THC's were off the charts... Not being able to see any data, and not having ever tried this, I just wanted some confirmation.
Appreciate it
