Total Hydrocarbon's on a rum-containing beverage are coming up higher than expected. I've been asked if the polysiloxane based defoamer is possibly contributing.

Anyone seen anything like this?

I have certainly seen forests of huge peaks from siloxane antifoamants. I resorted to aluminium sulphate instead.
