Proper Integration

Hi, everyone -

Can anyone direct me to good articles or papers regarding proper integration techniques, or comparisons of techniques?

I have always integrated peaks from the baseline, dropping verticals when there was background noise that added to the baseline. However, I've seen some people integrate from valley-to-valley on peaks that have baseline noise.

Any comments or thoughts are welcome, as well.

First of all, I commend you for wanting to learn to integrate peaks properly.

You should check the manual (if available) for your integrator or data system.

In addition, here is a link to chromatographyonline with links to articles on integration.
