We are currently running Empower 2 as our CDS, although still using it as a paper based system.

The next phase of our roll out will be to activate ERES and therefore enable us to move to a fully electronic system and CFR compliance.

My question is simple (I think)..I have not used ERES within Empower 2, although have with Chromeleon and so have a fair idea what these type of sytems are capable of. The current thinking seems to be that we will need to apply a signature to each injection within the sample set i.e. if we have 80 injections we will need to input our user name and password 80 times.

Is it possible to simple apply one signtaure to the whole sample set? If so, has anyone any pointers on where we need to look to turn this function on?

Many thanks for any help
Anthony

but I would guess that you can set it up so that signatures are good for specified results sets.

No set up required:
Enable a summary report to be used for signatures for sign off... all results are signed with one signature and one timestamp but only if you have looked at all the pages

Yes usually it works that way, you select the data to report and generate a report which autamaticcly get the signatures/timestamps needed. Although I so far managed to stay away from empower as much as possible but doomed any month now  , our in process people can start an analysis but a 2nd person can take over and generate the reports needed if person 1 has gone for the day, so there is one ES for the one generating the data and a second for the one generating the final report if i get it correctly.

Some uses systems for ER only (hybrid) but not ES (requires review ES in system as well) and wet ink signatures goes onto the final report.
