is it possible, that one compound showing mass in API 2000 DIRECT MASS, BUT NOT SHOWING MASS IN WATERS SINGLE QUDRAPOLE MASS SYSTEM AND WETHER MASS SHIFTS FROM ONE INSTRUMENTS TO OTHER? I.E, M+1 TO M+2 OR ONLY M....................

IS THERE ANY PROCEDURE TO KNOW THAT MY API 2000 SYTEM IS WORKING FINE AND GIVING MASS PERFECT MEANS OK AND RELIABLE?
Have you run a tune or check standard through the instrument. If you run a compund with known masses - they will read either correctly or incorrectly. (Assuming you are using a tuned instrument - my bet is correctly.)
