hello to every one
I am seeking a metodo for analysis of chloramphenicol in shrimp by GC with ECD, realy I have one, but the sample preparation is very laborious and wanted to know what other metodos exist, any way Iknow thaht this can be easy, but I am intesterd to know if some body knows something about any SPE aplication for that.
Thanks

If your available instrument is GC-ECD, I don't think you're going to be able to get away from "laborious" to do chloramphenicol in shrimp. I assume you're running something like the USDA method for mammalian tissue. You pretty much have to start with 50 g ground shrimp (grinding is long and tedious all by itself), extract, back extract, concentrate, clean again, concentrate and derivatize to do GC-ECD and see 0.3 ug/kg. There are SPE methods out there (and easy LLE methods), but they assume you have a LC-MS-MS at the end.
