leak and high EMV issue?

Discussions about GC and other "gas phase" separation techniques.

I am having air leak and high EMV issues.

After cleaning the source, I found out that EMV was not reduced much and stayed high (2700), then I did a water/air check and found the system is leaking. Tried to tighten everything I could and the leak became smaller but it is still there and the EVM volts stayed pretty high still.

I am wondering if the high EMV related to the air leak or not. And how to deal with this leak systematically? What o-rings are prone to be worn and need to be replaced?

By the way, I am using HP5972.

Thanks!

Emma :)

What % is air relative to 69?

When is the last time the EM was replaced? What value is it at normally? Higher than 2000 generally indicates the EM is going to die soon.
