I have a question for the Varian Galaxie CDS users. With the Agilent Varian merger completed and with Galaxie sales ending at the end of 2011, has anyone started thinking about an upgrade path for there existing systems? I have heard some limited information about Agilent's OpenLab and the plan for supporting Galaxie data. We are in the planning stages of adding more LC equipment to our lab and at somewhat of a crossroads as to what to purchase now. Just wondering if anyone else has any thoughts on preserving your Galaxie data and existing Varian equipment. We are investigating a future upgrade to OpenLab but there is still a lot of unknowns.

For product liability and traceability purposes we will need to maintain the software on one client and the ability to read files.
This we did when we went to Galaxie from the Agilent Chemserver platform.

One licence is all you should need to maintain.

This will be my appraoch, whatever platform we move to.
