Which is the right electrical connection between a thermal desorber ATD Turbomatrix and a GC HP5890?

Our Gc is followed by a MS Trio.

The pins of the ATD Input/Output (I/O) port are:

14 ground
13 ground
12 ground
11 Start in
10 Stop in
9 Ready in
8 Fail Out Normally Open
7 Fail Out Normally Open
6 Start normally open (Start out - Inject)
5 Start normally open (Start out - Inject)
4 Ready normally open (not ready)
3 Ready normally open (not ready)
2 Ready normally open (ready out)
Pin # 1 Ready normally open (ready out)

and the pins of the remote port 6 of HP 5890 are:

6.12 REMOTE READY INPUT
6.11 GND
6.10 START OUTPUT (same as pins 7 & 8 above)
6.9 READY OUTPUT (connects with 5 @ ready)
6.8 START OUTPUT (100ms to signal start of run)
6.7 START OUTPUT (contact closure; pulsed closure for)
6.6 READY OUTPUT (disconnects for 5 @ ready)
6.5 READY OUTPUT (common for 6 & 9)
6.4 GND
6.3 REMOTE CONFIGURATION INPUT
6.2 GND
6.1 REMOTE START INPUT

According to the manual of ATD Turbomatrix the pins which are used for the electrical connection between Turbomatrix and HP 5890 are 5,6,9,12.

Thank you.

Hi Christiana,

please see
viewtopic.php?t=6332
and download the schematic, though the cable is for a 6890,
they are hopefully similar,
you should be able to still buy the cable from PE, or make it.

p.s. I connect the fail pin to start pin on the ATD, so the data files match up to the GC sequence table.
