Hello,

I am trying to develop a method for a surfactant using HPLC with an ELSD detector. I am trying to figure what initial parameters need to be set such as the signal, the gain in order to optimize my method. I currently have the gain set to 12 and the signal at 1, but I am not getting any peaks. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance :D !

Depends on the manufacturer and model. I would contact the manufacturer or check their web site for applications notes to give you an idea of "typical" settings.
