Could you please recomend a HPLC Column supplier with competitive prices in USA or Europe?

Where I come from prices of HPLC related products are much more expensive than in USA or Wester Europe

Oh, I do love subjective terms...

"Competitive prices"? You'll be the best judge of whatever that means to you, but you should start with the big boys...

Waters
Agilent
Phenomenex
Thermo-Fisher
Merck

However, depending on your application or field, you may want a specialty column or a very generic column, in which case you may pay more or less with a smaller supplier than with a traditional supplier.

What exactly are you looking for, and what prices are you currently seeing that you feel are too high?

Or you could check a couple of the Forum sponsors:

Also, Nacalai has $99 columns on sale right now through July 15, but you have to be in the U.S. or Canada for that to apply.

Also from Canada

Have competetive pricing
Good judgment comes from bad experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.

Thank you for your info.

I am looking for very common HPLC columns, such as C18.

Where I come from HPLC Column prices are a ripe off.

For example, Product Number 990967-905 Eclipse XDB-CN, 4,6x250;5u u$s 503,00

$503 is too much? On Agilent's site, that column lists for $581, and to be honest, is about in the middle of the ballpark in terms of pricing. Phenomenex will be a little cheaper, as will Restek (usually); Waters will be more expensive (usually). However, you must always remember to compare column performance for your analysis per manufacturer, and evaluate the lot-to-lot reproducibility of the columns, as well as whether the column manufacturer makes it's own bulk silica or not. All these items should factor into the decision making process when buying and validating a column for your analysis, and then you should use a guard column and have adequate sample prep to protect the analytical column from degradation or contamination.

Edit - after digging through the Higgins Analytical catalogue, I found the following:

HAISIL 100 C18 5μm
250x4.6mm
HS-2546-M185 $270

So, if you just want a C18, I don't know that you'll be able to beat that price.

Enquirer, You can also try Columnex. We have HPLC columns from 12 manufacturers. We can provide you with a column that has the best price to performance ratio....or just the best price. 8)
