Hi ,

I wonder when i read that my analyte has a half life of 80 day .That's means after 80 days it will remain half of it ! .In this case , how can people prepare stock solution from this analyte in methanol or pure water and use this stock for more than six months ? .

Even when this solid is in a container how can u use the container for more than six months or a year ?

Any help to understand this , i feel something going wrong in my understanding to the concept of this

Best Regards

W

A half-life of 80 days under what conditions? at what temperature? exposed to air or not? exposed to light or not?

All of those factors will affect stability.
