Water, flow rate: 1 ml/min, without column, pressure is 2500 PSI
I fond one tube connected the injector valve with column coursed 1900 PSI, the tube is yellow. What kind tube would I replace it? thanks.

Do you have an instruction manual of the instrument?
it should describe all parts of the instrument and every piece of tube composition.

anyway in IC you are mainly talking of salts.
again, talk to your dionex service for support, it is best.

you say the instrument is second hand
if you did not do a check of it then you will probably need to now.
if the instrument was not used for a while then it will probably need a full service maintenance and change all the consumable part like seals.

this is generally one of the "cats in the bag" of second hand machines.
you never know what you really get.
servicing those machine can be sometime costly and disappointing because they were poorly conserved until sold.

again, it is in your local dionex rep a good interest to help
you because
a. not using it will make you only be upset at them- that brings no income
b. using the machine will bring them income from service and support

remember, you have no warranty to anything on this machine. there might be problems in there that are simply because of the way the former user worked with it.

Dear Jady,

The tubing you have described on the system is 3 thousandth of an inch or 0.0635 mm internal diameter. Any significant amount of this tube at 1ml/min will generate high backpressure. In addition to this you have mentioned the system is second hand. If it was not stored correctly salt deposits can build up and caused micro-crystallization. This can cause blockages in existing tubes, fittings and valves. You can replace the yellow tube with red tubing (0.125mm). However as your system is used and seems to exhibit multiple issues from your previous comments in another thread. I would suggest you employ the services of your local Dionex support team and pay them to sort your system out. As mentioned previously this is more cost effective as they are fully conversant with the correct operational and separation parameters of your system.

Thanks Mark. I already changed the tube in the day I fond the wrong tube.

Anyway, if I was the boss, I would like to pay 3 times to buy Water, Agilent. I will never ever buy Dionex !!!

Hi Jady,

I have just read your last post and it saddens me some what you feel this way about your ICS-3000. As you can tell I work for Dionex and although you may feel my opinion is biased. I have installed thousands of IC system during my career with Dionex. The ICS-3000 is a great system as are most vendors’ instruments. Each system has their merits and unique features. One can strike issues in most cases at installation or recommissioning of a used system. In my experience primary bad actor is inadequate operational training, lack of appropriate parts or system familiarity. In your case I feel you are doing a sterling job trying to get this system up and running. However it seems you may not have given the all tools, in terms of training etc, to achieve your goals in a timely fashion and this is driving your frustration. This is not necessarily the fault of the system. I would like to highlight the fact your supervisor has purchased a second hand system. With any second hand purchase (excluding vendor trade in units which usually are serviced and retain a warranty) the buyer must be aware the system may have issues if it was not maintained properly. This may hinder installation or make the process unduly protracted. In closing I hear you frustration and we are here to assist you. However I would request you moderate your comments in terms of system or vendor performance to quantifiable issues or problems and not emotive comment. If you feel you need more detailed assistance you can contact me directly, my e-mail is under my profile. We are all here to insure you are assisted and a successful outcome is found for your problems. Please keep me posted on your progress and any further issues you may have with your installation as I am keen to see you up and operational.
