Last week we cleaned the ion source of our MS 5977b and replaced the filaments. When we turned it back on and atuned it, we saw peak counts of >600, high EM volts, high gain factor, and the 502 peak was jagged and far above the baseline. Air and water isn't elevated that greatly so we don't really think its a leak.
Since then we have recleaned the source twice, cleaned the HED, and used an air cannon to blow off any dust that could be present in the ion source. We also had an RFPA error at one point and this entire time the instrument status LED has been rapidly blinking between red and green. Any advice or thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
