Ask about the solvent bottles of 1200LC

Hi all,

Of the four solvent bottles in a 1200 system, there's one with amber colour. As I understand, the amber is used for A phase (water with buffer), others are for organic solvents. But in case of THF or ACN, these solvents may be affected by light so what can I do?

Thanks

1. Wrap the bottles in foil (not really convenient for checking solvent levels, though...).

2. Construct a cover for the solvent tray made of amber plastic, with a door on the front and a slot in the bottom of the door for the solvent lines (might take some time, but will look snazzy).

3. Buy a few more amber bottles (easiest, but where's the challenge?).
Time flies like an arrow. Fruit flies like a banana.

The bottle threads are termed GL45, so you can order from other than Agilent.

I myself like the double-necked 2-liter bottles from Agilent, but last time I checked these were in clear only.
