Hi,
is it possible to analyze menthol by HPLC without any derivatizzation? Is it also possible to separate the two isomers l-menthol and d-menthol?
Any suggest will be appreciate.
Thanks in advance.

We've only used GC here for menthol assay.

Most organic species can be detected by HPLC at low UV if the matrix contains no interfering species, and often times using refractive index detector.
